The museum visitor rules are an official document that explains the general requirements and procedures for visitors to the museums under the Directorate. They cover how to visit, conduct in the exhibition halls, tours, photo and video filming, and how organised groups visit.
Please read the rules before your visit: every visitor then knows their rights and obligations, and misunderstandings at the museum become less likely.

Photo and video filming for bloggers and media
- Bloggers, media representatives, news agencies and news portals must obtain official permission from the Astana city akimat in advance before filming in the museums, because the museums are institutions subordinate to the akimat of the capital.
- Consent to photo and video filming on museum grounds is given only after the akimat permission has been received.
- This requirement is introduced so that filming takes place in the established order and the work of the museums is properly coordinated.
- You can leave a request for a visit or filming using the form at the bottom of this page.
