Venue: Picture Gallery of the Directorate of United Museums

Organizer: State Municipal Enterprise "Directorate of United Museums of Nur-Sultan" of the Akimat of Nur-Sultan.

On November 2, an exhibition by Mukhtar Kairatuly Baibosyn, a member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan, and the Eurasian Union of Designers, will open at the picture gallery of the Directorate of United Museums.

Mukhtar Baibosyn was born in Almaty. From 1987 to 1991, he studied at the N. V. Gogol Almaty Art College. In 1991, he entered the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Abai Almaty State University and graduated in 1995.

He began his career at the Almaty City Communications Enterprise. His subsequent work has been mostly connected with teaching. For many years, Mukhtar Kairatovich taught at the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Kazakh National University. He worked at Abai Almaty Institute of Architecture and Construction. After moving to the capital, the artist continued teaching at L. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Since 2011, Mukhtar Baibosyn has worked at the Kazakh National University of Arts "Shabyt." He is currently a staff member of the Sector of Children's Art and Museum Pedagogy of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2016, he received a master's degree in art history. In 2018, the artist was awarded the academic title of associate professor at the Kazakh National University of Arts. He is the author of the honorary medal "Ana Tili." He was awarded the honorary Order "Kurmet" on the occasion of Independence Day.

The artist's principle in choosing a subject for his works stems from the aim of honoring the rich heritage of the Kazakhs and passing it on to the next generations. All the works are united by one theme: the culture and everyday life of the Kazakh people. In the author's words, each painting is a declaration of love for his native land. The master paints in watercolor and oil, and uses a new technique. He created his masterpieces not with a brush but with a special small spatula, a palette knife. The main feature of the paintings is the richness of their colors, which, as the author intended, should awaken visitors' interest in their native culture.

Exhibition content: traditional Kazakh song and kui music, poetry, and craftsmanship in general are the inexhaustible treasure of our Fatherland, its noble heritage and ancient sources. It is well known that various works and sources reveal the enormous efforts of artists, sculptors, historians, and archaeologists who study traditions and art. In the exhibition, the author shows his attachment to nature and to interesting motifs and views. The exhibition features both narrative compositions and natural and urban landscapes. In addition, viewers can see thematic graphic works and light watercolor sketches.

The exhibition will run from November 2, 2021, to November 26, 2021.

Address: Nur-Sultan, 1/2 Otyrar Street
