April 15 – Lovers' Day of Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu.

The day of «Kozy and Bayan», a symbol of eternal love, was first proposed in 1999 by the public and state figure Darkhan Mynbay. He called on youth organizations, educational institutions, and the media to celebrate the day of love. Darkhan Mynbay's initiative delighted many. In 2011, the Youth Policy Department of the Almaty Akimat included April 15, the National Lovers' Day, in its official events. The mausoleum of Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu is an architectural monument built in the 10th–11th centuries. Its wall is laid of straw-mixed clay made with a granite paddle, and its entrance door, 1.86 meters thick, faces east. Near the mausoleum of Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu there are four stone statues.
