The building of the former Muslim school, which now houses the Center for preservation of monuments and objects of historical and cultural heritage, dates back to the late 19th century. It is an architectural monument representing one of the unique examples of wooden architecture from the late 19th to the early 20th century. The building is a residential house, constructed in the form of a wooden log cabin adorned with rich carved wooden decoration.
The Center for preservation of monuments and objects of historical and cultural heritage, situated in this building, is a structural unit of the SME «Directorate of United Museums» of the Astana city administration. It is engaged in the preservation, restoration, and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Astana. To achieve this goal, lectures, excursions and thematic events are organized at the monuments and memorial complexes of our city for guests and residents of the capital.
