Day of the Great Abai

On August 10, at the Atameken Map of Kazakhstan Ethno-Memorial Complex, a lecture “Abai dara, Abai dana qazaqta” (“Abai is unique, Abai is a sage among the Kazakhs”) was held in honor of the Day of the Great Abai. The lecture was given by M. A. Isayeva, head of the research department of the State Municipal Enterprise Directorate of United Museums of the City of Nur-Sultan. The lecture covered monuments and museums dedicated to the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev throughout the country and abroad, as well as avenues and streets named in his honor.
